It’s easy to tell the author REALLY knows his history and it’s always exciting to encounter a book with a strong heroine as one of the main characters, especially in a story with this much action. I was also kind of intimidated by the idea of a book set in Ancient Greece, but the author made the story really accessible. It’s also interesting how the story compares problems we face in modern democracies to problems that ultimately led to the fall of democracy in Ancient Greece.
